Auburn Media, an arm of Auburn Theological Seminary, brings religious and theological education through multimedia tools directly to clergy, seminaries and faith communities to inspire reflection, engagement and positive action. Auburn Media works with religious leaders and organizations from around the nation to ensure that the best documentary films and media projects have the greatest possible impact. Through partnerships with filmmakers and media companies, Auburn Media offers programming on social and religious issues designed for use as elements of successful religious education programs in a variety of settings. A key audience is future religious leaders, who are accessed both directly and through the seminaries that train them.
To serve these efforts Auburn Media has created a pipeline through which the best documentaries on religious understanding and social justice are introduced to seminaries and faith communities, accompanied by great educational and discussion tools to maximize the films’ impact.
Partnering with the RENEWAL Project and Active Voice, Auburn Media is developing educational materials based on RENEWAL. These outreach materials are designed to help the religious leaders of tomorrow gain a greater awareness about the growing religious-environmental movement.
