Interfaith Call to Action in Nation’s Capital

July 17, 2008

Washington, DC

Religious-environmental groups in Washington, DC joined together in an Interfaith Call to Action, at Foundry United Methodist Church (1500 16th Street, NW) at 7:30 PM. Several RENEWAL stories were screened as the rallying points for the event, which was sponsored by Shomrei Adamah of Greater Washington, DC Green Muslims, Faith at Work, The Teva Learning Center, and Greater Washington Interfaith Power and Light.

The purpose of the gathering was to connect, engage in hands on action, plan campaigns and carry forward a common vision for the earth.

The event was open to the public. Sixty-five people attended and it was deemed a great success!

See for yourself.  Photos and a complete descrption are available at this GWIPL site:  https://www.gwipl.org/renewal_documentary.asp
